This study aims to analyze and explore the artistic arrangement of Lighting in enhancing theater narratives. Lighting creates various atmospheres—from tense and mysterious to bright and cheerful—and conveys time or season through its color and intensity. The performance Senja dengan Dua Kematian by Kirdjomulyo, adapted by Fathul A. Husein, tells the story of Wijasti's struggles with family issues, including her father’s gambling habit, his debts, and her mother’s illness, leading to deep traumatic experiences. This story depicts family failure and the conflict between desire and duty. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research stages include observation, interviews, and documentation study of Lighting elements. The results show that Lighting design functions not only as illumination but also plays a vital role in creating emotional ambiance, building atmosphere for the audience, bringing characters to life, and reinforcing the storyline. With a realistic approach, the director interprets artistic Lighting suggestively. This research provides insights for performing arts professionals on the importance of Lighting in creating a compelling and immersive theater experience.
